How to Style Biker Boots

How to Style Biker Boots
Originally designed for motorcyclists for practicality and comfort to wear with leathers, biker boots are a versatile fashion must-have that we’ve now fallen in love with and simply cannot live without.

What is a “biker boot”?

A biker boot, as mentioned, is a boot originally designed for motorcyclists. For practicality’s sake they’re generally above the ankle to avoid any exposed skin but below mid-calf height to allow leathers to be tucked in or worn over, ensuring weatherproofing. They’re traditionally made from leather (although quality faux leathers are making an appearance for the fashion conscious who don’t want to consume animal products) and come with a grippy, chunky profiled soles.

The chunky heel and edge of sole profile makes for a distinctive style that can be embraced across different fashion styles and works as well with jeans or dresses, with casual clothes, biker bite or bohemian flair, leading to the ultimate versatility that we’ve come to love!

Floral patterns are equally well suited to bright colours like those available with Bayeux or deep brown leathers like those on Reef, a rugged style from our Autumn Winter 2022 range. Fully adjustable laces mean you can loosen the fit to tuck in jeans, leggings or jeggings - or just for preference – or wear close-fitting to the leg for a neat, slim look.

Not only are Bayeux and Reef super versatile to match any outfit, they’re also diabetes and bunion-friendly, good for feet that swell, open up wide for easy access and are suitable for the insertion of orthotics.

Guinea is another style that demonstrates the versatility of the biker boot; equally at home with dresses or jeans.

A wider calf circumference up to 32cm with V cut for adjustable fit around the calf, it’s an arthritis and bunion-friendly biker boot.

Wearing Biker Boots with Jeans

As we’ve already mentioned, biker boots are just so versatile for wear with dresses and tights, leggings and sweater and even denim for casual or colder days, when you just need that extra protection!

Similar in style to Bayeux is vegan-friendly biker boot Atlas, available in red, black or tan faux leather that can be styled similarly to both Bayeux and Reef. Pair with jeans for wintry walks with friends or dresses for a casual “heading out” look.

Wedge heeled biker boot Joyce has all the benefits of a biker boot with toasty faux fur lining, an almond shaped toe on a lightweight yet grippy rubber sole with a 1¼" heel with a ½" platform to add extra height and lengthen the legs, just perfect with jeans or leggings.
