There has been an issue with the shoelaces on my last two pairs. I don't know what has changed but they seem to fall apart very quickly, and I had to be replace them. I also noticed that this shoe is no longer offered in black, which is a pity.

My need for the wider fit shoe was due to the fact I had a trapped nerve in my foot that needed a special insole to take the pressure off it. Additionally I developed pemphigoid an auto immune disease that give rise to itch spots that develop into liquid filled blisters, some of which can be large. The blisters eventually burst and the covering skin peels away leaving a wound that needs dressings.
I ordered these shoes knowing I could return them if they were no good. However, I tried them on and they fitted over the dressings as I'd hope. The flexible fabric meant my feet were cooler, comfortable and didn't disturb the bandages.
Although my feet are painful the shoes allow me greater mobility and have grippy soles and they aid stability. I rate them highly and have no complaints at all.

I had to return the original shoes as the heal, the tongue and lace eyelet were all disintegrating after 7 months wear. Customer Services replaced them immediately. The quality when new looks good. The fit is ideal (I have very wide and sensitive feet). Performance is to be observed and hopefully better than the last pair. Value for money is good providing the performance issue is now resolved. I like the shoes very much and have used them as house shoes.

The hard soles of these shoes are very noisy when I walk - so much so I have attached stick-on soles. It is a different compound to that on many other styles. Unfortunately the fabric on one shoe is splitting by the side stitching, although to be fair my feet are probably actually 10E rather than 8E so they are a close fit. I don't have this with other styles - probably because they are more substantial fabrics.

This is the second time I've bought these particular shoes, I have absolutely no problems with them, the previous pair have lasted well for over seven years and although they are have been savaged by our dog several times and have cuts all the way through they are still wearable. I've had the new pair for a few weeks and they are extremely comfortable and hopefully will last as well as the previous pair, longer if I can keep them away from the dog. I purchased 2 pairs of shoes at the same time, my first order. This one (Troon) and Shannon 6V Brown Leather 9. Both were the same size and fit. The Shannon was fine. The Troon was too tight. Why was there a difference in comfort if the shoes were the same size and fit? I persevered with the Troon as you advised that cloth shoes will stretch to fit the foot shape. This took about a month with a lot of discomfort. The shoes now fit fine and have spread where they were too tight. There is nothing in the catalogue instructions to explain the difference in the two pairs of shoes. I phoned customer services prior to ordering to check I was measuring my feet correctly. I have hammer toe and a bunnion on one foot (the problem foot) and this was used for the measurements. The other foot was fine. I like the shoes. How do you suggest I order any further shoes when the same fit (6V) varies between different styles?

I have bought two pairs of shoes from Widerfit from their web site and I am very pleased with them despite initially returning both pairs.
The first pair, not the one above, was too small; the second, the reviewed item here but in its laceless version, was in a style that looked attractive in the picture but in real life the velcro retaining strap was too long and flapped in the air.
Why I am extremely satisfied with Widerfit Shoes, are the shoes, but also because the process of returns, refunds and dispatch of alternatives is so simple and quick.

I'm very pleased with these shoes which I use for house shoes. I have a raise on one shoe and the people who do the raises won't do them on slippers so I needed something light with a reasonably flat sole. These fitted the bill perfectly. Delivery was very quick and the free returns was a bonus if I'd have needed it. I've worn the shoes for a while and now that I find that I'm vey happy with them I'll be ordering some more styles in the very near future.

Excellent shoe which actually reflects the description. Having purchased a similar pair from Cosyfeet which were advertised as ultra-wide fitting - they were, in fact, too small and poorly made with a hard heel which rubbed and constricted my feet. The Troons from DB Wider Fit are really comfy, very generous in all area and nicely made (comfy lining, soft heel, solid sole etc). On top of this I thought they were very good value. They are now my daily shoe of choice and I intend to buy another pair when the colour I want is back in stock.

They do discolour quite quickly and become quite grubby around the edges of the sole. I would have thought a darker colour would discolour less and be more practical.

Nice color (denim blue), very good fit for wide feet, soft like a pillow, comfortable and you can wear it without socks. TROON insoles blister my feet in minutes so I have to exchange the insole when I change from blue to brown pair. Ahoy Sailor! An excellent boating/casual/holiday shoe. Although officially a man's shoe, I bought Troon for myself as I am quite heavy on casual flat shoes and walk fair distances and find that a man's style can occasionally be better for me than a woman's. I liked the denim colour and appearance and was not disappointed at the robust structure and sole. The shoes are very easy to keep clean, a brush being normally enough and are wearing really well. I live in them outside in the better weather and find they support my feet and ankles really well. I use orthotics and Troon are really great to put the orthotics in. Sometimes with the man's style, I leave the original sock in and put the orthotic on top, and this works really well if your feet are not quite as sturdy as a man's, but in length/size, the same as a man's style. I can highly recommend the Troon shoe.

I have very wide short feet. In principle the shoes were fine apart from the fact I thought they were very long for a 6. This was compounded by the laces not coming over the bridge of my feet making fastening difficult. I have added an extra eye hole myself. I wear them as a loose slipper finding them too sloppy to walk very far in them.
