I can give high ratings on all of the above H0WEVER, a mistake has been made as they are not right for me because there is no support for my pronated ankles. After only a short walk they spread out, become loose and begin to feel more like heavy slippers. Very disappointing - any expert comments welcome. Graham Collins

Neatly finished, but materials and manufacture give a slightly cheap, synthetic & mass-produced impression. The idea of removable insoles to provide extra space if needed for buyer's own insole is EXCELLENT. Shoes squeaked intolerably when walking at first, but a little vaseline spread under the flaps at the sides (which had been rubbing against the shoe tongue with each step & causing the loud squeaking) solved the problem. The shoes would feel healthier and of better quality if the leather top of the shoe were NOT lined with synthetic material, but just left as bare leather and the leather itself seems a little synthetic and not derived from top quality hide. HOWEVER, these shoes with an adjustable width and height definitely fill a real market need and are a valuable discovery for me personally. My experience with polyurethane soles (as in Ecco shoes) is that they will disintegrate unexpectedly (although Ecco disgracefully refuse to acknowledge the hundreds, perhaps thousands, of consumer complaints reporting this) so I am hoping very much that these shoes will not develop the same fault. However, in summary: overall, well satisfied so far!

These shoes are very heavy with a very thick stiff sole which makes them very uncomfortable for walking. The leather started to discolour almost immediately. They do not seem to be up to your usual quality. We know it is too late to return them but we wanted you to know how my husband found them.

I am very pleased with the fit of this shoe, as I've come to expect from DB Widerfit shoes. However, what impressed me most on this occasion was the after sales service. After a few days wear a slight manufacturing defect became apparent. I contacted DB and was immediately offered a refund or replacement even though the shoes had been worn. I returned the faulty pair using the prepaid label and received a replacement pair a few days later. Excellent service!

Fine pair of shoes, Good fit. I Ordered these as they are similar o a pair I ordered 2 years ago which are about to give up after pretty constant wear.
