I have plenty of DB shoes, including the Shannon 1 in size 8 1/2. The Shannon 2 is simply cavernous - hugely spacious. I could have gotten in a size 8 1/2 or even 8 but these were on sale. Good quality shoe, in a lovely colour rich brown leather that looks great. So far I have only tried it on but not had the occasion to wear them properly. I have really very wide indeed problem feet and this is the most spacious shoe I have ever tried. Great service from DB by the way, on all my shoes!

I used to buy the Reece shoe but the redesign into Reece 2 changed the fitting and made them less comfortable, so I thought I would try the Shannon.
It's a great show with only one drawback - if (like me) your feet are wider than the 6v/8e fitting which is the widest this company supplies, then the large rubber ridge at the edge of the sole where it meets the upper will dig in and bruise your foot on the outer edge where it spreads over the join, especially if you sit with your foot slightly turned in when during, for example.
Please, please, please consider supplying one or two basic styles of shoe in a 10e or even a 12e fitting for those of us with the most wide feet! I'm only a size 6 but I need a 12E and it's impossible to get anything that really fits properly...the Shannon will do, but it's not perfect by a long chalk.
For slimmer feet this shoe is probably superb.

Your size chart is incorrect on the length and had to send the first pair back and get the next size down. The toe area is wider which is what I need, but the rear of the shoe is too wide and the distance between the top of the lacing and the heel is too long, so the shoe cannot be tightened allowing it to slop and I ended up with blisters on my heel. I stuck heel spacers in but with no help. With the extra insole removed the height around the heel is now too low and will not grip firmly around the heel making the shoes unwearable and therefore a waste of a lot of money. Having said all that your customer service was very good after I returned my first pair and tried to replace them.

Well made shoes, but even though they are wider than any high street shoes, they are not wide enough for my feet. The problem is that my feet are wide but not 'deep’ I.e. my feet are not swollen and I don’t have any medical problems that cause swelling - I have had wide feet all my life. Widerfit shoes, like all shoe shops, determine width by measuring circumference, so my shoes are not wide enough and yet are too deep.
Given all that, they are well made shoes and will be suitable for other people who can’t find what they want in the high street.

Too narrow. Tried to stretcher them, but could not make them wide enough. The width I sent should have been a little larger, but even a corrected measurement should have fitted within the supposed shoe's dimensions. They are in a stretcher now but I do not hold out much hope of improvement..
Perhaps foolishly I tried again , ordering a larger size of the Istanbul range. Not only were they again not wide enough, they crushed my toes. I sent them back.

These shoes are worn every day for work, I would be surprised if they last six to nine months.
Clarks for the same sort of money would normally last me two years.

The shoes themselves are fine - enough adjustment with the removeable insoles to match my feet which are wide but not that deep. It took a bit of experimenting with the insoles and laces but not diificult to get a comfortable fit.
The customer service was much less impressive. The shooes were ordered on the 8/2/2021. They were eventually despatched on the 23/2/21 and delivered some 3 days later - thanks to the efficiency of Royal Mail. Over the 16 days I waited for these shoes, there was not one email or othere contact to tell me what was going on. The only thing the web site said when I logged into my account was that they were 'Awaiting Picking'. Really?? For over a fortmight?? Was there no-one to go and get them off the shelf and put them in a box with an address on it? Perhaps an 'Out of Stock', 'There's no-one here' or 'We really don't care' message would have been more truthful. I suggest you try harder.
