Generally, a good-looking shoe for my purpose of cycling, with just adequate width for my 11.5cm orthodontic heel insert, though the toe could be wider.
My only gripe is the ease of loosening the laces. While the laces are narrow, so are the lace holes but without the metal eyelets they create high friction, making it a long-winded job to remove them. The large number of lace holes adds to this issue. I know I could find a velcro-fastening version but the look is not quite the same. I appreciate this suggestion adds to the cost and maybe I could enlarge the holes and fit metal eyelets myself?

This shoe/trainer fits well with a young senior image. Even teh Grandchildren have commeneted on its looks. As I have very wide and deep feet, the cushion and insole are all removable , which aloow fro my orthotics (flat feet issue) . The laces are a good quality and not too long , but do have a slight sheen so can come undone on occasions. So double knot overcomes the problem. Comfortable to wear , with no rubbing .. I put a very thin breathable liner to allow enough space for orthotics without losing the depth. As a type II diabetic, it means my feet are not crammed and I can wear resonably thick sports socks if desired. Overall a modern looking trainer , but with the width and comfort required for both my feet and diabetic needs.

These are fairly light weight comfortable shoes. However, the same problem exists as with other shoes purchased from DB Shoes. Namely, the laces have been slightly improved but are still not really up to the job but more importantly the tongue needs a 'loop' to thread the laces through to stop the tongue from slipping down. The Dawson trailers are a new venture for me, being of course a casual shoe. However, I am equally impressed since they are both comfortable and very well made.
My podiatrist recommended that I try these as they have stiff sides to help support my foot and the facility inside the shoe to adapt the fit to accommodate the irregular shape of my foot.

I've always had wide feet but this has been exacerbated over the last couple of years due to water retention, so finding 'Wider Fit Shoes' has been a godsend to me.
However, even though I bought the widest available, they were still tight-ish..
The laces weren't long enough and DB were kind enough to send me what were called 'extra long' but were the same length as the originals.
I went onto EBay and bought some that are 1200mm (48") and these are just the right length for me.
Now, with the insert removed and using the long laces from EBay, I have some trainers that I can wear comfortably all day.
I can't see me using ant other shoe provider in the future!!

The shoe does the job, I have always had wide feet but following a gout attack the resultant swelling meant I could not get my shoes on. These I could and comfortably. My only complaint is that the lace holes could do with being a bit larger, it is difficult to get the thin laces to slide through the holes so opening to put on or get off is fiddly.

After a lifetime of buying cheap shoes I decided to buy a pair that were going to be wide enough for my rather expansive and delicate feet.
At last I can now go for a walk round the shops for a couple of hours and not end up crippled when I get home.
I had always been a size 11 until I became hypothyroid some years ago rendering me a size 12. This makes it now virtually impossible to find shoes anywhere that fit me lengthways never mind widthways.
This supplier makes my life a lot more pleasant. Sure the shoes cost a bit more but it's well worth the investment. Will be buying more soon.

Not as wide as I had hoped.
These are listed as 6E-8E but they're not really that wide. I have some wide fit Clarkes trainers in size 9 that are slightly wider than these are in size 10.
Also, the toe of the shoe is quite pointy which results in the shoe cutting across my big toe. This is why I needed them in size 10 even though my foot is really closer to a 9.
