I generally find it hard to get shoes that are a good fit. Having had a foot infection I needed something especially well fitting and soft, and these were recommended. The ability to measure your feet to get the right fitting was a definite plus point. The shoes are well fitting (if anything slightly too large, but in this case that's actually good) and soft. The Velcro strap fastening is especially easy. Shoes are expensive, so pricing is good. Delivered within days.

I wear a gel covering on one toe where curling has caused hard skin. I also wear toe props to prevent further curling. Also socks to protect veins on my feet.
"Cannock" has nothing to rub anywhere, which is better than some styles. Then tights over all that. I wear them in the house instead of slippers, with the insole OUT, which is not ideal but the only way to accommodate everything. They are lighter than most of your other styles - an advantage for elderly feet. In the street sufficient support is lacking.. The canvas would be no good in wet weather.

Very pleased with these shoes. A little background: I suffer from peripheral neuropathy in both feet together with overlapping toes which means a roomy shoe is a must.
This pair certainly fit the bill and are a great help in keeping me mobile. The comfort factor is perfect and together with the velcro fastening makes life a bit more bearable. The removable insole is also a brilliant idea to help if more room is needed.

So far, the Cannock canvas shoe has proved to be the best. I have naturally "square-style" shaped feet and when lymphoedema causes swelling, along with the thickness of compression stockings/bandages I previously tried and found that these men's shoes are more roomy and comfortable than the women's style as they don't taper as much towards the toes. I was really pleased therefore to find the new colour options of red and light grey, with light coloured soles, which make them look a bit less like men-only style and great for summery outfits for both - could be 'unisex' in fact! They can be sprayed with waterproofing agent to give extra protection from the weather. Velcro straps are easy to use and the soles are robust. I bought pairs in both the new colours and am very happy with them.

The velcro strap is too long. This applies to the leather shoes as well but at least with the leather ones you can cut the excess off. The velcro strap is on the wrong side and it is difficult to do up and undo if you are like me a little elderly. If you made the fixing on the inside it would be easier.<br />
