We bought these shoes for my husband who has to wear an AFO splint following a stroke. We buy a larger, wider pair of shoes and a smaller narrower pair to get a shoe for each foot. The clever extra wide opening on the shoe means that my husband can put shoes on and off by himself which allows him much more independence. The quality is great and the shoes have lasted really well. It would be helpful if these shoes were available all year round as there is nothing quite the same in the winter range, and if odd shoe pairs could be purchased too that would be wonderful!

I have not worn this particular pair of shoes yet as I bought them for the summer (although I've obviously tried them on) but they are a replacement for an identical pair that I bought through a shop, that have now got a bit scruffy. I was very pleased with that pair, hence my reordering a replica pair. I am diabetic with very swollen feet and have to have shoes fitted and made via the hospital, but I find your very wide fitting suits me for summer wear etc. I would certainly recommend your footwear and will be a lifelong customer. Thank you. Ordering was very straightforward and delivery was very quick. My only problem is the cost of some of your shoes, although getting VAT exemption is a huge help.

Was beginning to give up on finding footwear that would cope with the two states I unfortunately alternate between - what's called four later compression bandaging and thankfully - no bandaging at all. These shoes (and I've now bought other designs from Widerfit too), are fantastic in that they have so much adjustment that they fit perfectly when bandaged and also when not - no suggestion of being too loose at all. They are also extremely comfortable including all day wear including as much walking as I can manage! Will definately be back for further designs. Any chance of a 'trainer' type in the future?
