Having used the guide to 'size' my feet, the boots arrived promptly but we're a little too tight. Customer services were brilliant. The boots were returned foc, and a size larger arrived very quickly.
These boots are excellent, comfortable, waterproof and look good too. I have tried wider fit shoes and boots from other makers but they don't compare to the DB product. I have no hesitation in recommending these boots. I walk my dog 6 miles everyday through mud and puddles and my feet remain dry. Boots are easy to clean too. I am very pleased to have discovered this manufacturer.

I have Charcot Marie Tooth syndrome, giving rise to high insteps and hammer toes. I had suffered ok with 'ordinary' shoes until now I am in late 60s and having to see podiatrists weekly...
I was sceptical about these boots but I have to say they are wonderful. The deep toe box and wider fitting means my hammer toes no longer scrape on the inside to cause wounds and ulcers. The gusset under the laces is very accommodating and I can get my feet in easily; the boots lace up well to make them dry inside.
The boots fit really snugly and are so comfortable I can walk miles in them. Can't speak highly enough of them.

I have found my pair as very well fitting particularly in the heal which then holds the foot in place allowing the toes to have maximum flexibility, for exploratory reasons I removed one of the insoles thinking for more comfort and room but i quickly resorted to replacing the insole , for me this is an excellent boot and very comfortable , like most leather I would suggest to maintain heavily with a wax , dubbin or boot polish once purchased to maintain their looks

After having many pairs of so called , "Professional walking boots," I asked a friend , who walks as a hobby, what make of boots he used.
He gave me the details and I purchased a pair!
A brochure arrived with the sizing chart and I was surprised to learn I was a size 9 not a 11, as I had always purchased.
Boots arrived within 3 days of ordering them and after 4 days of walking some 20 miles, changing 2 insoles supplied with the boots, to 1 insole, I found they fitted perfectly. Not only that, I honestly do not know I am wearing them, they are so light.
Already done over 100 miles and still comfortable. Been through mud, water and up several rocky steep hills, they hardly look as if they have been worn. Plus they were £50 off in the sale too!
Great boots, excellent value for money and the telephone sales line were very helpful.
For years, I have been buying bigger boots to get the extra width I needed, not only that, My feet are in excellent shape now and I do not suffer from corns and the like anymore.
Already looking to buy some shoes too!

Podiatrist said get stiff soled shoe and these are good. Solid, but not too heavy for a walking boot, weigh around 600g each. This was my first footwear ordered on-line and I was a bit apprehensive. I needn't have worried. With plenty of space in the toe area they were the most comfortable boots I have ever worn with my current 'claw toes' and they fitted extremely well. Despite removal of the inner sole to have the 4E fitting, the thick tread still gives plenty of support. The lacing up system is a little cumbersome but no more so than with the standard boot. I'm very pleased with these boots which are extremely comfortable, now that I have broken them in. I found they pinched a bit around the ankles at first but that ceased to be the case after I'd warn them a few times. Since then I've worn them for several 2 to 3 hour walks on a mixture of wet ground and paths and urban pavements, and my I've had no aches or pains at the end of it. This is a review for this boot and the Nebraska which is is essentially the same boot but the woman's version.
THANK YOU Widerfit for producing a true walking/work boot!
I bought the Nebraska first and liked it so much I wanted to buy a second pair so I would have a good outdoor work boot for years to come. But my choice of size and colour was out of stock so I tried the Colorado and, being fractionally wider, it fit even better after a long day on my feet.
This is an enormously comfy walking/work boot. It is not too heavy and the slight curve in the sole make them so much easier to walk in than heavy boots with a very flat sole...one 'rolls' through each stride.
The sole has a proper traction cleated sole for the worse mud and the boot does keep most of the water out. A leather version of this boot would be amazing!
I've been buying from Widerfit for many years. This is the first true , non-fashion-type work/hiking boot I remember them doing and I am so grateful. We outdoor people need wider footware too!
I do think it is a little too expensive at £129. A great deal when in the sale though.
Thank you again Widerfit. Please make more of this type of footwear.

Had to return initial pair purchased which were replaced by a pair one size larger, found these to be a far more comfortable fit. Boots appear to be well made unfortunately like others have indicated the laces supplied are too short

With my small feet and swollen right ankle it is the best boots
I have ever had. (most expensive), I hope they will last.
BUT there is always a but, the boot laces at 150cm are too short too tie using the top eyelets. Laces closer too 180cm would be better.

(1) would it be be possible to supply better quality laces with these boots?
(2) would it be possible to replace the two highest level of D eyelets with hooks that are easier to use when tightening the laces?

I bought these boots to provide extra depth for a hammer toe on one foot.This they do perfectly by removing one of two inner soles.They are waterproof,well made and robust.They were a bit tight on my ankle bone so I relaced them,omitting the two side lacing eyes which solved the problem.Good sole grip and arrived promptly.
