I am 70 years old and never had a pair of walking boots that didn't hurt my toes and side of foot after I'd walked half a dozen miles or so. Decided not to put up with it any longer and got these and the first comfortable long-distance walking I've ever had. They have lasted the first couple of hundred miles over the past few weeks without any signs of deterioration. I am delighted with them.

Plenty of width in (this) wide version (for a wide foot), and no pinching. Generously sized length wise (perhaps my size estimate should have been a size shorter). The upper seemed thin perhaps, but nevertheless is weatherproof so far in damp conditions. Laces eyelets/hooks worked for a reasonably snug fit when tightly laced, fastening which is not too fiddly, and soles d'seem ok, for both wear and grip. Generally, ok so far after about a hundred miles.

Odessa are an improvement on the previous model Wetherby. Ankle protection is better and the lacing system is also an improvement. They are very comfortable with soft leather uppers and a good grippy sole. Perfect for the winter or any time of year. Not anymore, since I purchased the Odessa boot’s I’ve found them so comfortable that I’ve rarely got them off.
