The only issue with this great shoe is that the sole wears down too quickly. My previous pair ended up with no grip what so ever, so to improve the shoe, a thicker/deeper sole will make this item a 5* buy.

A heavy expensive shoe I use for walking the dog. mostly on pavements but including muddy ground and long wet grass. It suits that very well but has poor grip when on wet stones. The heel is too low which makes walking any distance hard work. It also means that the shoe has a shorter life than I expected at this price level. For the same price I can get two pirs of Sharnbrook which although they wear quickly will probably last loner and are more comfortable and less tiring to wear.

This is my first order from Wider Fit Shoes and I must say that I am delighted with these shoes. The size is a true fit for 9.5, when I have been finding other shoes at size 10 to be too small! The shoes arrived promptly and I was delighted to find that they looked great, were of top quality and certainly did not look like they were for wider or deeper fitting feet. Regarding fitting, I removed the additional inner sole (as otherwise they felt too shallow, and for the first time in ages was able to tighten the laces properly without my shoes looking stretched. I use them as an everyday shoe, but also do a lot of walking as part of my fitness regime, for which they are ideal. At full price I probably would not have bought them, but at the discounted price they were a great purchase.

I was getting a lot of pain in my toe joints after walking any further than 10 or 15 minutes, regardless of shoe type or surface, so I made an appointment with a podiatrist. She diagnosed osteoarthritis ( I'm at that age), and advised buying shoes with a toe spring. She also handed me some orthotic inserts but they had varying results. She handed me your catalogue and it was simple from there. The cut out foot measuring pages eliminated any sizing guess work and I took the plunge.
From first fit I could tell these were different from most high street shoes. Excellent quality and superb fit. The best bit is the difference in the pain I was experiencing. I can now walk for well over an hour and I don't find myself limping into the house like before. I now wear them to work too and the same thing has happened , I can spend many hours on my feet but don't get the anywhere near the pain in my toe joints that I was before.

Comfortable, easy walking and waterproof. It's just my size, and waterproofing tested through long wet grass.

I always buy from DB Wider Fit Shoes for the quality and fit. These walking shoes are sturdy, comfortable and waterproof. Unfortunately, one of the lace eyelets broke off after only a few weeks. After contacting DB's customer service dept I received a full apology and a new pair of shoes immediately. I brought these as I already had a pair Colorado boots and I have found the Utah sneakers to be of equally good quality.
They look reasonably stylish without the boat lock of some other makes.
I have moderately wide feet but also use orthotics and removing the top insole allows for a comfortable fit.

I returned this pair and swapped with HULL which I presume is on the way, Quality, fit, value for money all 5 star but can't comment on perfomance in wear as didn't try them outside. The problem was the weight. Too heavy for a 'walking shoe' and also a little inflexible, compared to the Merrell pair they were replacing. Kim was kind enough to weigh them and they came out a good bit heavier than the HULL I'm now buying. UTAH would be good for rough or mountainous terrain but for that kind of walking I always use proper boots.
