As we are always looking for ways to improve our offering of wide and extra-wide shoes to as many people as possible, we are always developing new styles, features and benefits, to ensure that DB Wider Fit Shoes really are the experts in wide and extra wide-fitting shoes and remain the perfect fit for wide, deep and problem feet.

Our latest development is to bring you a brand new choice of styles in an increasingly popular area of footwear development: the "Asymmetric toe shape", or “Foot shaped shoes” as you may have heard them called.

What is the Asymmetric Foot Shape?

This shape is designed to follow the natural shape of our feet for a more comfortable fit. With an even wider toe area than you’ll find even in our round or square toed shoes.

This can reduce pinching and squeezing even more than our other toe shapes may and provides enough room for toes to spread out, as they naturally should.

One glorious benefit of the asymmetric toe shape is that it is suitable for ALL foot shapes so, whether you’re Roman, Egyptian or Greek, this shape is for you.

This shoe shape has been the subject of many studies recently into the health benefits, with findings such as improved posture, increased foot strength and a more comfortable wear being amongst them.

We love these new styles not only for their comfort and benefits, but also for their look!

Seven brand new styles in our new toe-shape

We've introduced seven brand new boot and everyday shoe styles for autumn 2023 and we're sure you'll love them.

Our 2 new everyday styles are made from beautifully soft leather whilst all of our new boot styles are made from clever imitation leather materials so, whilst they look and feel wonderful, they’re completely animal-product free and suitable for vegans.

The boots also feature inside zips for easy access so, once the laces / fastenings are set to the correct fit, there’s no need to undo them for easy foot entry.

Our asymmetric toe shape is currently available only in our 2V(EE-4E) variable width fitting. We hope to be able to extend our range to include our 6V(6E-8E) variable width fitting in future seasons.

1. Mid-length boot Giselle features 21cm height and a circumference adjustable to 35cm, thanks to its lace-up design, which also adds a touch of classic styling to this boot.

2. Muntjac. Three adjustable buckle fastenings around the calf and ankle provide adjustability in this striking biker styled design, with circumference again up to 35cm.

This style also unzips all the way to the sole for easy foot entry. Simply adjust the straps to fit your calf then use side zip to access.

3. Wildcat is another mid-length boot in a Chelsea boot style, in imitation leather, with elastic gusset that adjusts to calf size with circumference up to 29cm.

4. Mink. Available in 3 great autumn colours and with cosy cushioned cuff, Mink is the ideal boot for autumn. Decorative straps complete the look. Perfect for wear with jeggings or jeans.

5. Deer. Stylish ankle boot with ruched front and twin zips that open to the front for a wide opening and offer both style and function. Available in black, brown or grey imitation leather.

All asymmetric boot styles have 1 ½" wedge heel for extra height with a ¾" heel drop.

6. Taylor. Classic everyday shoe Taylor is made from the same beautiful leather as many of our other everyday shoes, like Swan, Gull and Rory, soft to the touch, with a little give and natural breathability.

The lace-up design offers a secure fit and adjustability so it’s ideal for people on their feet all day. You won’t believe how comfortable this shoe is!

7. Scott. A strap fastening version of Taylor, Scott is suitable for people who prefer the styling of a strap fastening or for those with reduced hand motility.

Still offering a secure fit and adjustability, the extended straps can be cut to the correct size for your feet. (Please note that once the straps have been cut the shoes can not be returned)
