I bought my first pair of Donna Boots 6 years ago, and am now replacing as they were starting to show signs of wear. Delighted to get these at bargain price, but sad to see they are probably disappearing from the range. Like their predecessors they are comfortable, warm, easy to clean and keep looking good. Also great for the permutations of insoles, orthotics etc you can use, specially if each foot requires different treatment. An ideal urban boot - they take me through London from October to the warmer summer days, when the lighter D&B styles take over.

The problem I find is that if the ball of the foot is wide, it is presumed that the ankle will be wide. However, this is not always so. The ball of the foot on these is great, but at the ankle I have had to re-lace to allow the leather to cross over so that the boot stays on. However, they are very warm and comfortable.

I don't actually have big feet but I like a little bit of extra width for long walks especially as I have a small bunion on one foot. These shoes are a gorgeous colour, darker than the picture. Soft leather, blissfully comfy and light weight. The laces tend to slip undone which is a bit annoying but not insurmountable as you can do a double knot which makes a lump on the top of the shoe, or you can keep bending over to re-tie. I'm fit so I can do that. I've only just started wearing them but I think they will perform well.

I was impressed by the quality - really nice, supple leather - and by the fact that although they are extra deep and extra wide they don't look particularly big and bulky. Have bought extra wide for years to accommodate bunions but first time I’d bought extra deep, to accommodate worsening hammer toe and they are easy to wear and comfortable. My podiatrist also felt they were a good buy for me. My one criticism is that the tongue is very soft leather and because I’m arthritically inflexible I need the tongue to have enough rigidity for me to slip my foot under it whilst using a long shoe horn at my heel, and this isn’t possible. I have to hold the tongue up with the shoe horn until I can slip my foot in sufficiently to hold the tongue in place and then remove the shoe horn to my heel! Clumsy but it works, and although I’d like this to be considered as a design concern, it wouldn’t stop me buying here!

This boot is fantastic. Extremely comfortable, looks smart. Very happy. Fit accurate. Rapid delivery.. If I could make one suggestion, I would like shoe laces a couple of inches longer, as my foot is so broad that I use up a lot of the lace in the lacings, leaving it a bit short to tie a bow.
I have never been disappointed in your products and they turn out to be excellent value for money.

I normally steer clear of ankle hugging shoes and boots as I have a bad scar on my left foot. These however are fine as the inside is soft and flexible. I like the black and snake combination, which makes them 'dressy' if I need something for an outside'do'.

It is a good shoe but when i bought size 3 4E it seems a bit tight and not deep enough on my left foot which i have a problem with the toe next to the big toe as i have bunion on it too. If only shoes can be made slightly wider for problem feet. I changed to a size 4. Fits better but a bit loose.

I have such difficulty buying shoes as I have arthritis in my big toes following injury. These look good and are so comfortable. No pain! I ordered 2 pairs differently styled boots, assuming that if I was lucky, I might be able to keep one pair. For me, the fact that both pairs fitted me perfectly was a miracle and I ended up keeping both! No pain and I will definitely buy again.

Donna lace up ankle boots are made of soft, pliable leather. There is plenty of room for orthotic insoles, with or without the removable insole. The boots are lightweight, neat and very comfortable and the laces give a neat fit on the ankle. Great everyday boots!

These boots are an excellent fit and are very comfortable to wear. They are light but very strong. I only have one criticism. The laces are not very flexible. This stiffness makes it difficult to pull the leather together. I rectified this by fitting new laces and this solved the situation.
