The quality of this shoe is excellent. The problem lies with my mother's feet and not the shoe. Unfortunately my mother is unable to wear the shoes at the moment possibly because her feet have swollen more than usual. That's why I couldn't really rate the performance in wear. My mother has several other pairs of shoes/slippers in this same size and has been so pleased with them. I can not stress enough how brilliant it is to be able to get footwear that opens up so wide for easy access and the extra wide fitting is much appreciated. Hopefully my mother will soon be able to wear these new shoes.

Due to a problem with one toe i suddenly didn't fit my normal wide shoes.These boots give me plenty room and i no longer have pain walking ,though the straps are a bit long,since my feet are otherwise normal size.but it doesn't matter.They still close quickly and well and wear comfortable and lightweight.making walking a lovely experience.The only thing i would have loved would have been the option in this shoe to have a profiled sole for better grip on some terrain.

As they were bought when on sale, they are good value for money. Due to Charcot Foot, I need the 8E fitting to accommodate the deep insoles that I need so this is great. I'd love to see more styles available in 8E, a trainer style shoe would be a welcome addition as 6V doesn't give both the depth and width I need.

Because the back of my foot is narrow I had to tighten the straps a lot. The adjustment is there to do this, but it did make the top strap lie a little strange. I may well try a 6E next time to see which compromise is the right one to make, but I will be buying again.

The reason I chose this type of boot is because you can adjust the straps around your ankle. Most suppliers do not take into account that if we have wide feet we also have larger ankles. A bit tight to start with. I can only wear with anklet stockings (light tights). I can't get these on with socks even if I take the insoles out. I also ordered the deeper version of these boots for comparison but, with the insoles in, and with socks, they were took big at the ankle. I had to pull the velcro straps quite far over the get them fitting properly. I knew that when I'd worn them for a while they would ease off and the strap would be too long. So, despite being a bit neat on me, I kept the standard depth size. I already have a pair so know that they will not get too loose.

These are the only boots I have been able to wear because I have very swollen and painful feet. The leather is soft but it still supports my ankle. They are easy to get on and off with the velcro straps. I could not find any other boots this wide unless they were specifically made for people with severe disability and then they are not made with style in mind as these are. I bought them in the sale as they are expensive if you are on a low income and I would buy them again in the future.

Foot part fits beautifully like all wide fit but I do have a slight problem with the top of the heel back - it's padded and soft so will probably suit most heels but I find it rubs - so I'm inventing either a bit more soft padding at the back or drastically cutting a 'V' shape (like many hiking boots now do to relieve the back of the heel)! But overall I think this is a great ankle boot - well made and great for the wider foot

I've lived in the last pair of ankle boots I bought from you for the past 3 or 4 winters, and they are still going strong, but I thought it was time to have another pair in reserve. Quality seems up to usual DB standard . They were a slightly snug fit to start with, possibly due to the one piece construction of the upper, and it's taken a bit of getting used to getting a snug fit with two velcro fastenings rather than laces, but I think I'll get to love them as much as the last pair.
