Having to wear a splint on my right leg following a stroke, I struggled to find shoes which would provide sufficient width and depth to accommodate it and which I could wear for more than a very brief period of time without severe discomfort. I have a very painful bunion on one foot and these are the most comfortable shoes I have found by far. I wear the shoe on the affected foot without the top insole which allowed my foot to slip around inside the shoe and made the shoe feel tight on that foot. The bottom insole is non slip but still gives the sole of my foot enough cushioning. I wear the shoe on the unaffected foot with both insoles as I can have the strap tighter on that foot to prevent slipping. the side of the shoe is nice and soft and stretchy over my bunion and causes little pain. These shoes have given me a new lease of life as I can work on my feet all day again. The straps in these beige shoes are unattractive but the comfort is worth it. I will buy a black pair for the winter.
