Have worn these black shoes with surrounding suede only in my house because been wearing my DB ankle boots, for outside. I also have the same style in Navy without the suede and are tremendously comfortable so no doubt these black pair will perform as well. Personally I don't like having the suede added because I like to polish my shoes. Only wish they were made in a dark chocolate shade and generally more size 6E shoe/boot styles. I can see that the labels do show made in England which is essential for our economy otherwise I would have returned them.

I am delighted to have found shoes that fit after many years of sore feet and this is my second pair of the Buxton style.
The shoes are comfortable from the first wear and remain in really good condition after daily wear. Perhaps they might be more slightly more expensive than some high street shoes, but they are worth every penny to have comfortable feet.

These are the correct length and depth for me, (as with previous pairs) but these shoes strangely loose at the back, even with my orthotics inserted, whilst too tight around the front opening, and causing huge blisters in that area- so I'm unable to wear them at all at present!
I have been happy with previous similar Mary Jane styles- so very disappointed with the fit of these-.
I wish you had some reasonable stockists in London- to try a range of alternatives at the same time- those listed now have barely any choice of stock.

A very deep dark coloured leather which fortunately goes brilliantly with a leather handbag I'd purchased this year and of course, the shoe size and depth are ideal for my feet. Warn them often so extremely pleased with my purchase as they are comfortable and of course ample room to insert my orthotics. Of course, DB shoes are expensive but appear to be more or less the same cost as other quality shoes. Loved the colour so much that purchased boots in same colour. Now looking for DB shoes in grey but none available.

Since I have one foot much larger than the the other I had to have the bigger size which meant that one foot fitted well and the other I had to put in 2 foot insoles. They both feel too big, but I know the size down was too small as I tried them. With thicker socks I am managing, but the heels are still loose and move as I walk. There is space round the painful toe area which was my essential criteria so a + for that. Generally I don't feel too secure in this type of shoe, but I prefer them to lace-ups all the time. Half sizes would be a main objective next time. The quality of the shoes are fine, good leather and a good shape.

Since my Podiatrist recommended this company I have never looked back. I had a major foot reconstruction 8 years ago. the last in a long line of operations since I was 8yrs old, I am now 72. I had bought various sizes and widths, depending on the brand. Now I know I can buy a size 4 -6E and it will be a perfect fit and so comfortable.
My Dad, a typical Yorkshireman. said always pay as much as you can for your bed and as much as you can for your shoes because if you are not in one you are in the other . How true !!

Buxton and Bliss sandals are the only pairs of the many styles I have tried and kept. Buxton would be very comfortable BUT the shoe box is slightly too narrow and not deep enough for my toes. (6E is too big). So my feet can only wear them for a day or two before they need a change of footwear.

I have been a customer of Wider Fit shoes for a number of years and have always found the shoes that I ordered to be an excellent fit, quite a revelation for my difficult feet, and very good quality. The only time that I have experienced a problem was with the fastener on this particular shoe, however Wider Fit shoes sent me a replacement pair quickly and without any fuss, and I have had no further problems.
