A brilliant 'in between' shoe. I bought these for Spring wear, when I needed something a bit lighter than my solid lace-ups or boots. I got the ultra wide ones so I can wear socks for extra warmth, if necessary. I have very wide feed and, in the past, have had to buy larger size shoes in order to get the width I need. With these DB shoes, having the right width means they are super-comfortable from day one. Definitely worth the price.

This shoe is too high going back from the side all the way around the back resulting in the leather cutting my skin and making it bleed around both outside ankles and back heel bone.
I tried using plasters around the injured areas to be able to wear the shoe but this was very uncomfortable.
I have now used scissors to cut the height of the shoe to be able to wear the shoes without being injured.
Very disappointed with this product. The colour, leather and style are good, but the height is too high - should be lower, thereby not causing injury.
All the other footwear I have purchased has been excellent.

I have many pairs of DB shoes. They provide me with a deeper than High Street toe box so that I can wear my orthotics in them They are life savers! There is one point only which I'm not wholly pleased about....my feet are NOT WIDE, they just need extra depth and so there are difficulties with the straps and the velcro. There is far too much srtap and I have to pay a cobbler nearly £8 to shorten them. This means that there's not enough of the top velcro and it wears out too soon. I'm left with life in the shoe but not in the strap.

I buy a pair of these shoes almost every year. When I started to have problems with my feet my podiatrist asked me to take in a selection of shoes and these (along with the other style I usually buy) were the only ones she really approved of, she felt the others (not Easy-B from Widerfitshoes) were not supportive enough for me. The quality is almost invariably good - on the one time I did have a problem I contacted Widerfitshoes and a refunded/replacement was offered immediately. I am constantly pleased by your level of customer service and will not buy any other make of shoes. The only reason I have indicated below that the fit was not as good as expected is that I felt this pair slightly narrower than the previous pair - both 4xE? Thank you for offering such a lovely selection of sensible shoes for a younger person with bad feet!

When my feet were less broad, I'd had a pair of Rowena in black, in 4E width, that I'd bought in a shoe shop in Norfolk about five years ago. More recently, my right foot had widened, but in my left leg/foot, back in July 2013, I'd had Cellulitis, which left me with a much broader foot then before - and wider than the right one. I knew exactly which company I'd be buying new shoes from, and chose Rowena again because I knew that this particular pair of shoes would be comfortable. I put the additional foam insoles underneath the ones that were in the shoes, for extra comfort, and because my feet are now 6E width and not 8E.

My first experience with seriously wide shoes of correct length, instead of two sizes up in a high-street shop, and an 'affordable experiment' due to a 50% off 'sale. Totally amazing comfort like I never had in a 'shop' shoe for 50 years! I wish I had known of this brand 30 years ago! Strong and well-made, with plenty of room for warm socks in cold weather. My mother (same wide feet) loved the colour so I bought an extra pair in her size, and she adores them. We will probably never buy shoes from anywhere else ever again!

I found this a good quality shoe.As I have very wide feet,the width fitting was perfect.My only disappointment was the difference in the velcro on each shoe strap.The left shoe was excellent with velcro half and half exactly giving good adjustment ability.The right shoe however had velcro of 4cm to 9cm.This means I cannot adjust the strap to make it tighter when needed and have difficulty keeping the shoe on.Sadly I shall be wary about buying again.<br />

I helped my 91 year old Grandma purchase these shoes. They look super on her and she finds them very comfortable and with her very limited mobility to she find these shoes very easy to do up and get reasonably tight with the help of her reacher/grabber. I cannot recommend these highly enough as a good all round, reasonably modern styled shoe; just a shame the beige colour isn't available in 8E fitting as my Grandma would've liked to have ordered them too.

As I stated on the form I used when returning these shoes, my heel slipped badly. I think this is largely because my feet are a half size and neither a five nor a six is right for them. I tried adjusting the buckle strap to see if this helped but found that the strap would not stay in the tighter position where I put it. I ordered another pair of shoes at the same time and found that because they are lace ups, my feet are stable in them even though they are rather too long for me. I have retained this pair but not the Rowena. I look forward to being reimbursed for the Rowena pair<br />

I am very pleased with my Rowena - T Bar Shoes. Excellent service from Wider Fit Shoes Ltd. I originally ordered a smaller size which was my mistake as the shoes felt tight across the instep but on speaking to someone at Wider fit Shoes Ltd and being advised to order the next size up the orginal pair were returned and the bigger size sent to me without any problem. I then had no problem with the fit, they felt comfortable straight away and I have enjoyed wearing them. I feel they wear well and continue to look good - like an expensive pair of shoes.

Rowena is a very comfortable shoe which is so easy to take on and off but it is also strong and supportive. It looks smart worn with a skirt but is casual enough to look right with trousers too. The shoes are fine. My only comment is about the little extension straps. They are an excellent idea; shoes which fit easily first thing in the morning are more of a problem if you want to put them on later in the day. My problem is deciding how they should fold over when they go through the metal buckle piece and need to fold back. The real strap is thinner at the folding back place, but the extension is very thick because of the Velcro. I'd like to be able to draw what I mean but, if you try what I describe perhaps you will know what I mean. Any suggestion would be gratefully received, otherwise I shall have to wear them from the morning each time!

This shoe has been comfortable from the start, with plenty of room at the front, and the appearance is quite nice too. In my particular case, the velcro strap fastening is too long, because I need the extra width at the toe joint but not where the shoe fastens. However, I can still fasten the shoes, but with the strap almost reaching the ground.

I have now ordered four or five pairs of shoes over the last couple of years from DB shoes and have found your service outstanding. these shoes are the only make that fit my very awkward shaped feet due to R.A. I rely on DB shoes to keep me going. Alas my local stockist (Jacksons of Hunstanton) no longer carry your shoes . Could you please tell me a stockist in East Anglia or the London area who would carry a large enough stock to make it worth while for me to travel to try on? The one thing that really looks bad, on these shoes, and on sandles I have bought in previous years, is the loose end of threads that often appear after a short time ........So, all the stitching which looks good initially, becomes tatty looking after a short while. I have already got two tatty loose ends of thread showing on the top of the front bar of this shoe. I have also just discovered that there is a cut or split on the edge of the shoe, through the stitching, near where the two coloured leathers meet..........this looks as though it will get more pronounced as the shoe is worn.<br />
