An excellent fit as usual for the foot width, but so disappointing that the calf fitting is rather narrow. I don't have unusually large calves, but the tongue of the boot has been cut so slim that it barely spans the gap at the front of the boot when I have adjusted the lacing to fit. That makes the boots look rather odd and much less smart than they could be when being worn.

I love the style of these boots and bought them in both colours in the sale. I have an issue with the calf width of the boot. I understand that the calf can be adjusted using the laces but in reality this isn't really very satisfactory in that it looks a bit unsightly with the laces stretched open like that and the addition of a piece of elastic to stretch fit would have been helpful with doing them up. and with them not slumping down on the ankle. I also wish the tongue was either fixed or wider as when the lacings are at a wider fitting the tongue isn't quite wide enough. I would have liked a lighter brown too as this is almost black and perhaps some shading on the toe and heel would be nice for an expensive purchase like these. They are super comfy though and I love the style so invested. I am also super happy that they are leather and not vegan as this means they will last for a long time making the cost better all round. I would also have liked eyelets on the holes. Apart from that lol, I am really happy with them!

I loved my brown ones so much that I ordered the black as well and when they arrived I noticed that they had double the amount of lace holes which made them sit flat against my legs and made them look super, so I immediately made extra holes in the brown ones and was delighted to say that they now fit perfectly too. There was a slight difference as the black had double the amount of lace holes which looked much better as there was no gaping in between and the look and fit was much better, so much so that I have had extra lace holes put into my brown ones. Removing the insoles gave the right amount of room/depth for my orthotic insoles. The boots are my usual size, no need to size up. I have narrow ankles and wide calves and the lace-up design allows for a good fit all round. Overall the boots are very comfortable to walk in and have become more so as I have worn them in. They are also nice and warm. I am very pleased with them.

Comfortable and warm; I love the style. After measuring my feet on the paper guage, and speaking with customer services, I bought the next size up (4 instead of 3) to accommodate my NHS orthotics. Although the orthotics fit well, the boots are a bit too big for me (I usually have a 3.5 with orthotics in). However, with extra socks and heel grips, the boots fit and are comfy.

I'm a big fan of Wider Fit shoes, and bought these boots in the same shoe size that I always order from them (previous footwear has always fitted perfectly). However, I was extremely disappointed to find how baggy the boots were over my ankles and calves, even after I laced them up as tightly as possible. In fact, they were so big that I actually fell over in them. Sadly, I cannot return them as now worn - but I strongly feel that the photograph/description should include a statement that buyers should be aware of this potentially dangerous size discrepancy between the actual foot and the rest of the boot. Having spent over £100 on boots that I only wore once for a very short time, I am needless to say extremely upset about this expensive issue.

Lovely boots for me just right because they have side zip
and lace up fronts. I need lace up because my feet and ankles
Swell up and I can adjust the laces around my ankle to
accommodate for this also I need extra depth in the foot to
do the same. Also they are leather I have some leather boots I've had for a few years now which have lasted very well because they are leather and have laces up the side. Just hope
these last just as well.
