I really like the stretch fabric at the front, and lack of stiffening there, as my feet are wide at the front and I have a bunion (which just coincides with the stretch area). At the heel the shoes are much too wide for me. This means I wanted a secure fastening at the strap, but because of the shape of my feet the strap came at the wrong angle and would not hold. I took the strap arrangement off and my shoe repairer was able to reposition it to suit my feet.
