Do DB Wider Fit Shoes sell EEE Wide Fit Shoes?

We’re often asked if we sell EEE fit shoes. Read on to discover how almost all of our shoes are perfect if you require men’s or women’s EEE fit shoes, trainers, sandals, boots or slippers.

Before we look at the width fittings that we offer, it’s worth looking at width fitting labelling and understanding “what are EEE fit shoes?”. Where you will find that shoe length is measured by a number, for instance “size 5” or “size 8” in the UK, or “size 35” in continental sizing, width fittings are measured in letters. Although you may not know this, “standard” or “regular” width shoes are actually “D” width fitting. The next widest is E, then EE, EEE etc. You may find on the websites of many companies offering wide fitting shoes that this is where the chart stops, and they describe their EEE fitting shoes as “extra-wide fit”. This is because most companies cater only for E, EE or EEE fitting shoes at the maximum, but at DB Wider Fit Shoes we offer shoes suitable for people requiring 8E – that’s EEEEEEEE – width fitting!

If you’re reading this, you’ve probably browsed our website and not found mention of EEE fit but that doesn’t mean that our shoes are not suitable for you. Our variable width fittings are, well, just what they say – variable in fitting! Through the clever use of specially designed removable insoles, we can vary the depth of a shoe from E-EEE (V fitting), EE-4E (2V fitting) or 6E-8E (6V fitting). We offer three variable width fittings to cater for wide, wider and extra-wide feet: 1. Wide V (E-EEE) fitting – can be converted from E, EE, EEE fitting through removal of insoles or adjusting the straps (V width available on limited men’s styles only) 2. Wider 2V (EE-4E) fitting – can be converted from EE, EEE, 4E fitting through removal of insoles or adjusting the straps 3. Extra Wide 6V (6E-8E) – can be converted from 6E - 8E fitting through removal of insoles or adjusting the straps This allows you to increase the depth or gives you space to add your own orthotics as required. Or you can vary the fitting for each foot, by inserting or removing insoles, for the ultimate comfort – very few people have both feet the same size! Our 6V variable width fitting is the widest and deepest fitting available on the market without buying bespoke, so you can be sure that we have the shoe for you!

So, if you requiring men’s EEE fit shoes, we have 2 variable width fittings that should be suitable for you, those being our V fitting, which can be varied from E to EEE width & depth, and our 2V fitting, variable from EE to 4E. If you require women’s shoes you will simply look for our 2V width fitting. But, fear not! As with “regular” shoes, there is no standardisation in sizes and so you will find differences in the length (size) and also width (width fitting) offered by different companies. It is therefore important to check your foot measurement for any company that you’re buying shoes from.
